The trade in high tech weapon systems has been on the rise since the early 20th century, when chemical weapons and other new and at the time high tech weapon systems were being developed. This also included the tank; what started out as a secret British high tech weapons project ended with the creation of modern history's most common form of death on tracks. The invention of the machine gun was also a force to be dealt with at this time, as yet another brand new killing machine. If history has shown the world anything, it is that the more high tech weapons that are developed, the more that soldiers, and even more often just innocent civilians die, having to pay the price for technological advancement in the form of weapons which provide no further use outside of the battlefield.
Austria has had a lot of history dealing with high tech weapon systems. Being a great Western European power the nation of Austria has developed more than its fair share of high tech lethal killing machines. However in more recent year the state of Austria has almost all but sworn off the advancement of technology which leads to nothing more than the numbers on the wall going up with the tallying of the body count.
Austria sees many solutions to this problem, such as putting sanctions on nations which are advancing the ability of the slaughtering of millions of people. Additionally Austria would like to see the United Nations take a more peaceful approach to all of its conflicts/ global issues. Austria expects every nation on earth to agree in the entirety of their plethora of ideas.
